Wool compost now in stock
We’re delighted to now stock Wool Compost from Dalefoot Compost based in the North of England.
Potash rich bracken forms the base for all their composts. By blending Herdwick Sheep’s wool into their Wool Composts it gives it improved water retention and slow-release nitrogen. They have now added Comfrey – a ‘dynamic accumulator’ packed with nutrients into the Wool Compost range.
Many growers and producers of plants are now using Wool compost as an alternative to peat, with excellent results.
There are a variety of composts available;
- Lakeland Gold
- Bulb Compost
- Wool Compost for Potting
- Wool Compost for Seeds
- Wool Compost for Veg & Salad
- Wool Compost Double Strength
- Ericaceous Wool Compost for Potting
- Wool Compost for Tomatoes
The composts from Dalefoot are approved for organic growing, are completely peat-free and are not made from green waste. They only use 100% natural ingredients from the fells surrounding our farm in the Lake District.
Other benefits include:
- Ideal for ‘No-Dig’ gardening
- Feeds for 2 years
- 100% Peat-free
