June jobs
June? Already?! Time to get out and look after your patch of paradise. Here’s your to-do list…
First things first;
- If you have a lawn, it needs water. We appreciate we’ve a lot of that during a Scottish summer but just in case of a sunny spell, make sure you water it once a week to avoid it going brown.
- Weeding – annoying but quite cathartic! Make sure you remove individual weeds from the root otherwise they’ll be popping up again before you know it
- Get planting! – this is the fun part. Filling your garden will colour will make you happy – fact. Pop in to see our range of summer bedding. We’re particularly loving nasturtium – they’re colourful gap fillers but can also be grown up trellises.
- Get the children involved – sunflowers are perfect for introducing children to gardening. They’ll see results quickly and compete for the tallest one
Remember to protect your plants from greenfly and aphids. Just fill up a spray bottle with water and tiny bit of washing up liquid.
Get in touch and tell us what else you’re doing in your garden, we love hearing from our customers!
